August 6th - ONLINE tournament - 2v2 Rainmaker
| Overview | 2 players per team, no subs Rainmaker only, Best of 5 (subject to change based on format/signups). First map is Random, after that the team that lost the prior game picks the map for the next. No maps can be repeated within a set. |

Bring your Nintendo Switches and Splatoon 2 for Sydney, Australia’s first Splatoon 2 meet up! Thanks to the Sydney Super Smash Bros community, we will be squiddybacking this meet up with their 6th Newtown Aero Dive event, so if you’re keen, you can play both Super Smash Bros and Splatoon on the day!
August 26th - SSOpen: Online AUNZ & Japan tournament
Sun&Stars Open is a collaborative event we are holding with the Japanese Splat Championship Series!

Melbourne’s first grassroots Splatoon 2 is being held at the Auburn Bowls Club on the 10th of September. This event would not be happening without the help of CouchWarriors and the wider Super Smash Bros community. The venue is a short walk from Auburn Station and we will be doing a pizza run during the day. This is a free event open to all ages, but gold coin donations are welcome!

October 21st - Hobart Meetup

This event is not an Oceanink Squids event but is being run by the cool Tasmanian Splatoon community.
October 27th-29th - Melbourne Meetups at PAX
Multiple Splatoon events will take place at PAX 2017! Each day in the Console Tourney area, Oceanink Squids will be running separate tournaments from 2PM to 5PM. Consoles will be provided by PAX Console Tourney.
We will be using amiibo figures to copy loadouts and preferences between players’ consoles and the provided consoles. You may also bring your own amiibo.
The tournaments will be held as Best-of-1 Turf War. If time permits, rules may be adjusted for later rounds.
It’ll be a full weekend of gaming fun so there’ll inevitably be people looking for games in the Handheld area! It appears that organisers in the Handheld area are also holding a Splatoon 2 event from 1:30pm on Saturday afternoon.

It’s time for another Splatoon 2 LAN in Sydney! We’ll be running this alongside the Super Smash Bros community once again, this time at the Underground in UTS.
This is a BYO event, so please bring your Switch, and since we’ll have monitors this time, please also bring your Switch dock. In addition to a ranked mode tournament, we will once again be running a Salmon Run challenge throughout the day, with a small prize given to the team who can collect the most Golden Eggs on 80% difficulty. The ranked mode tournament will be played on monitors, while the Salmon Run challenge will be played in handheld mode only.
